General Information

When you think of Syracuse, the image that probably comes to mind is that of a blue sky, a beautiful bay and the ruins of a Greek city rivaling Athens. You will have the chance to bring all this to life by joining us on this fantastic excursion. Arriving at the historic centre, you will see narrow streets lined with medieval and baroque buildings adorned with wrought-iron balconies overflowing with flowers. You will pass by the beautiful Arethusa Fountain and in the square you will be amazed by the view of the bay. Next, proceed to see the Cathedral from the outside, a graceful structure built in the 7th century on the foundations of the former Temple of Minerva. Enjoy a stroll around Piazza Duomo before continuing on to the Ortigia market, famous for its variety of spices and colours. During your visit, stop at one of the many refreshment stands where you can sample a wonderful cut accompanied by a glass of wine.
