General Information

Sicily’s greatest natural attraction is its highest mountain. For the ancient Greeks, Etna was the realm of Vulcan, god of fire and the home of the one-eyed monster known as the Cyclops. At around 3350 metres, it is the highest active volcano in Europe. During the walk you will notice how the height of its summit changes with each eruption, as over the centuries some lava flows have reached the coast. You will also visit some wine cellars located in typical Etnean style buildings. The varieties cultivated are those emblematic of the region: Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Mantellato, Caricante and Cataratto. Enjoy your lunch with a spectacular view of Mount Etna.

  1. Harry:

Me and my daughter booked this tour as soon as we arrived in Sicily and we were not disappointed. The guide was wonderful, very professional and knowledgeable. His willingness to share his knowledge and passion for Sicily and its history enriched our experience in the region. The tour included an excursion to the slopes of Mount Etna and the grand finale at the Gambino winery in Linguaglossa. I highly recommend this tour.
