General Information
The excursion will begin with a pleasant tour of what is, perhaps, the essence of Sicily: Taormina. Built in the 3rd century B.C., the city was later almost completely renovated by the Romans. Perched on a terrace overlooking the sea, you can admire its medieval character.
The walking tour will begin in the centre of Taormina, as your guide leads you along cobblestone streets to Palazzo Corvaja, a 15th-century building decorated with classical double windows. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Greco-Roman theatre built in the 3rd century B.C. Renowned for its spaciousness and unique acoustic qualities, it is still used for open-air concerts. From here you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of Mount Etna. You will also have time to stroll or shop along the famous Corso Umberto before continuing your excursion to Mount Etna. The active volcano, the highest in Europe at 3,350 metres above sea level, has erupted 130 times over the years.
From here you can enjoy the panoramic view of the city of Catania, and continuing around the Crateri Silvestri, you can see the remains of the lava flow from the 1983 eruption.

Thomas– :
We only had 1 day in the area and we were able to see exactly what we wanted to. We had our 15 month old daughter with us and bc it was a private tour, we were able to bring her car seat. Plus we were not crammed into a tour bus. This was a nice van and our driver was very informative. Would highly recommend the tour!!!
